SET LIST: COMEDY WITHOUT A NET

JANUARY 27, 10:30 PM AT COBB'S COMEDY CLUB

Just seconds before walking onstage, comics get a brand new, never before seen "set list" of topics handed to them, and they walk onstage and perform as if it is their own. It's a show that is for comedians as much as audiences-comics are put in hot water, and make a delicious tea for the crowd. What does this "comedy without a net" approach create? A playground for the comedy mind.

Created by Paul Provenza and Troy Conrad, this SF Sketchfest edition features the amazing, quick comic minds of Matt Braunger, Jon Dore, Rick Overton, Eddie Pepitone, Chelsea Peretti, Greg Proops and Brendon Walsh. Hosyed by Steve Agee.

M*A*S*H: CELEBRATING ROBERT ALTMAN
with Elliott Gould, Sally Kellerman and Kathryn Altman. Screening and Conversation

FEBRUARY 4, 5 PM AT THE CASTRO THEATRE

SF Sketchfest is honored to present one of cinema's all-time classics, Robert Altman's M*A*S*H, with two of the iconic film's stars and frequent Altman collaborators Elliott Gould and Sally Kellerman in attendance along with the late director's wife, Kathryn Altman. These special guests will participate in a conversation and Q&A preceding the screening of the darkly comic 1970 film, which also stars Donald Sutherland, Tom Skerritt, Robert Duvall, Bud Cort, Rene Auberjonois, Gary Burghoff, and Fred Williamson. The movie, set during the Korean War (with a strong subtext addressing the controversy of the Vietnam War), received critical and audience acclaim and inspired a franchise to follow with the popular television series of the same name. Join us as we remember one of cinema's greatest filmmakers with this extraordinary film.
